Xiaomi launched the Mi 6X on April 25, 2018, at an event in China. India won’t get the device with the name Mi 6X else Mi A2 will replace the Mi A1, which has been Xiaomi’s first take on Android One. Though the device will be launched in China, India might get their Android One version later this year. The company has leaked enough data about the device which includes promotional videos and even camera samples of the front camera.
Despite that, interested buyers waiting for the Mi A2 can expect numerous changes in comparison to the Mi A1. Going by the promotional videos and the leaked specifications, the device looks a lot like the Redmi Note 5 Pro.
The phone comes with full metal unibody with 7.6mm thickness and weight 166g. The battery that comes with Mi A2/Mi 6x may be a bit disappointing, it features a 2910mAh battery. The phone has got a 5.99in Full-HD+ resolution display.
Xiaomi’s Mi A2/6X is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 660 chipset which will be clocked at 2.0GHz. The phone seems to be in three variant where the base variant comes with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, the mid one comes with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage and the last one comes with 6GB of RAM and huge 128GB of storage capacity.
As like of Redmi Note 5 Pro, Mi A2 has also got vertical camera setup with two lenses one of 20Mp and another of 12Mp Sony IMX486 for Picture Perfect dual-camera (f/1.75, 1.25um pixels). The phone has a powerful 24Mp Sony IMX376 front camera so the phone Face Unlock technology may be perfect.
The phone comes in many color variant: Cherry Pink, Flame Red, Sand Gold, Glacier Blue and Black. It has got a USB-C type with Quick Charge 3 (50% in 30 mins). But the worst part is it lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack.
